    About Hollow Ground Special Edition
An arcade-style game that emphasizes action, observation and tactical skills. The gameplay is old-school, but the graphics are fully revamped to take advantage of modern hardware. One or two players can play at once using joysticks or the keyboard. Gameplay is quick and responsive as your mercenaries descend through 40 levels into a underground bunker to find the source of a plague of mutants.

The full version comes equipped with 4 mercenaries, 16 distinct weapons, 18 quick power-ups, 14 permanent power-ups and 78 maps. Endless variations, semi-random map selection and hidden trickery make HGSE truly re-playable.

Players can contribute new maps using a free separate editor (scheduled for release in the Summer of 2008). A Live Update feature provides an ongoing stream of new material as the creative flow continues.
